Can someone please tell me how I feel about this?

You think they should stick with the Veronica idea instead.

Because Veronica Mars ruled, and a spin-off of 90210 would make your insides wither up and die.

That's probably just me, though.

Jacob - Hmmm. Probably not quite, if you feel the way about snails that I do.

Par3182 - See, that's 2/3 right. I am thrilled, but ... mostly confused.

Bec. - Try as I might, I never really got into VM, but I was the worlds biggest 90210 fangirl, so we probably don't agree.

Truthfully, I just don't know what they're going to do with it. 90210 was one of the first real teen dramas - and in that way it was a bit of a groudbreaker (although crap in retrospect). Since then there have been dozens of them. If - as suspected - it's just going to be the brand, with a random bunch of teenagers who have nothing to do with the original, then it's really not bringing anything new to the genre and I can't see what it's going to do, because most of the target audience for a teen drama today weren't even born when the original premeiered and would definitely not appreciate it the way us crusty gen-xers might.

But anyway ... that's probably just me :)

well the degrassi junior high remake didn't work... so i don't see why this one would. they should just show re-runs of the original... the kids these days haven't seen the show, and i wouldn't mind watching it all again...

Heh. That's why I have the DVDs. Maybe they should do a psych-style scene-by-scene remake. But with actual teen actors and no Tori Spelling.

Degrassi: The Next Generation is actually working though. It didn't do much in Australia but it's up to its seventh season (which I think is longer than Degrassi ever ran) and still going.

I hear that Tori Spelling wants to be a MILF in it.

Don't say I didn't warn you.

Meva,

If you ever use the words 'MILF' and 'Tori Spelling' in the same sentence ever again, I may have to kill you.

Don't say I didn't warn you....

:)
